Osteopaths who follow updated infection control guidelines are able to open their clinics to all patients. Patients who have been advised to shield should continue to avoid face to face appointments if at all possible.
Despite everything being done to minimise the spread of the virus, please understand the risk to yourself of attending any face to face appointment.
We are doing all that we can to minimise that risk to you when you visit.
Below are the changes that you will notice during your patient journey from booking to treatment and beyond as part of the clinic’s infection control protocols.
Covid-19 hygiene measures
We ask that you not attend the clinic if you or anyone in your household has had Covid-19 symptoms in the last 2 weeks. These symptoms include:
- A fever
- Persistent new cough
- Have any changes in taste or smell
We will ask you if you:
- Have been with anyone with Covid-19 in the past 14 days
- Are shielding or are living with someone who is shielding
- Are Vulnerable should you contract Covid-19
Procedure on arrival:
Please use the hand gel provided and/or wash your hands on arrival.
Please wear a mask to your appointment. If you forget one, don’t worry, one will be provided to you.
You should be safe in our waiting room as treatments are spaced out now and only one patient is treated on site at a time.
During your appointment, a minimum of 2 metres distance will be maintained when talking through your medical history at the beginning and your Osteopath will wear a mask at all times. They will sterilise their hands thoroughly and then put on a disposable plastic apron before examination and treatment begins.
Disposable couch covers and a sterilised pillow will be used for each patient
The treatment room will be thoroughly cleaned after every treatment
